Living in Benijófar: area guide and property

Benijófar is a small, friendly Spanish village between Rojales and the farmland of the Vega Baja, and it’s where my office is.

Where is Benijófar?

Benijófar lies close to the River Segura in the south of Alicante province, right next to Rojales and Ciudad Quesada. Around 3,700 people live here, according to the latest local register, and the municipality also includes the Benimar residential area.

The beaches at Guardamar del Segura are around 15 minutes away by car, Torrevieja about 20 minutes, and Alicante airport usually 35 to 45 minutes.

Village life

The heart of the village is Avenida Federico García Lorca, the main street, with bars, restaurants, cafés, shops and banks. It’s busy enough to have everything you need day to day, but it still feels like a Spanish village rather than a resort. A good mix of Spanish and international residents live here all year round.

My office is at Avenida Federico García Lorca 90, sharing premises with SGM Abogados, so a lawyer is on hand if you need one when you buy or sell.

What kind of property can you buy?

In the village itself there are Spanish townhouses and apartments, some with roof terraces and views over the surrounding countryside. Around the edges, and in Benimar, you’ll find detached villas, quad houses and bungalows, many with private or communal pools.

Buying in Benijófar with White Coast

I know Benijófar well because I work here every day. I don’t always have one of my own listings in the village, but I work with around 400 collaborating agencies, so I can find and show you most of the homes on the market. You deal with me from the first viewing to the day you get your keys.
